It’s all in the making.

 

From Bollywood to Nigeria, I have been creating, teaching and writing at the intersection of storytelling and social good for two decades. I believe in working with local teams, developing work collaboratively, and taking risks in telling authentic, powerful stories. I have produced content for Current TV, UNICEF, Havas, Praekelt.org, UNICEF, UNFPA, and Save the Children and trained for BBC Media Action, Columbia University, and the New York Film Academy.  I led the content curation and writing for the Medium Publication, Mobile For Good, and have spoken about social good projects and inclusivity at over 20 conferences globally.

La Marana is a woman-led, participatory design and planning non-profit that promotes the inclusion and empowerment of Puerto Rican voices in the design and creation of our cities and communities. Video made possible through a grant from Solutions Journalism.

I write at the intersections of international development and culture, with a focus on technology and race politics. I have recently written about the the WHO Health Alert for US News and World Report, a UK crowd-sourced social media survey during COVID for Media Diversity Institute, and an open-sourced community support tool in Indonesia for Open and Shut.

Other bylines include Media Co-op, UX Collective, Bright Magazine, Next Billion,

Communication Initiative, and Data Driven Investor.

Content must work holistically to connect the dots. Creating a 360 degree ecosystem with words and visuals across platforms is the only way to truly communicate a message.

Directed Internal and External Marketing Collateral

Developed conference strategy and process, presenting at over 20 conferences and workshops.

Created rich media and video content creation to humanize mobile tech with partners include as Girl Effect, Save the Children, and UNICEF.

Co-led the creation of MERL Tech Jozi, a global tech conference in South Africa.

Won Best Poster at London’s Behavior Change Conference.

Feedback Labs

Developed Diversity, Equity, & Inclusivity workshop for staff.

Curated Feedback and Equity Series, ghost writing blogs with leaders in the NGO and philanthropy space on the intersections of equity and feedback in their work.

Served on Advisory Committee for Feedback Labs’ first summit in NY.

Awarded Solutions Journalism Renewing Democracy grant and two Global Giving grant to film and profile local post-disaster efforts in Puerto Rico.

Havas Luxe

Acquired first digital client, Millesima, Bordeaux e-commerce site.

Primary client contact in growing luxury digital businesses and brands, including pitching and acquiring new business.

Led SXSW panel on Luxury and Digital.

Developed website and blog, digital strategy, news posts.

Senior Project Manager at Havas Worldwide for multi-million dollar accounts. Managed brand positioning across digital platforms and media. Clients: Green Mountain Coffee, Oppenheimer Funds, Atlantic City, Ritz, and Dos Equis.
